A legend reborn!

For the 25th edition of the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam, we pay tribute to Umm Kulthum, the voice of the Arab world, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

Join us for a spectacular opening night on May 28 at De Doelen, where film and music intertwine in the mesmerizing performance “The Phonograph Changed Me”. This unique show, performed by the Marmoucha orchestra and created in collaboration with composer, singer, and filmmaker Toni Geitani, who is also the project leader, brings Umm Kulthum’s early career and inspirations to life. The mesmerizing voice of  Mireille Bittar, the main vocalist of the evening, will elevate the performance.
